Vcwallet Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 11, 2026
Vcwallet is a self-custody Litecoin wallet extension. This policy explains what information Vcwallet processes and how it is used.
1. Private keys, passwords, and recovery information
Vcwallet is designed so that private keys, recovery phrases, and wallet passwords are stored locally on the user's device. Vcwallet does not intentionally transmit a private key, recovery phrase, or wallet password to Vcwallet servers.
2. Local storage
Vcwallet may store encrypted wallet data, public wallet addresses, settings, usernames used within the application, preferences, session information, and locally cached blockchain or market information on the user's device.
3. Litecoin blockchain services
To provide wallet functionality, Vcwallet may send public Litecoin addresses, transaction identifiers, transaction data, or signed transactions to third-party Litecoin blockchain infrastructure. Blockchain transactions are public and can remain permanently visible on the Litecoin network.
4. Market data
Vcwallet may contact third-party market-data services, such as CoinGecko, to retrieve cryptocurrency price and market information. Those providers may receive standard network information, including IP address and request metadata, under their own privacy policies.
5. Backend services
Certain application features may use backend infrastructure. Depending on the feature, information such as usernames, generated device identifiers, public wallet-related metadata, or application metadata may be transmitted to those services.
6. Financial information
Vcwallet processes public cryptocurrency addresses, wallet balances, and transaction information where necessary to provide Litecoin wallet functionality. Vcwallet does not provide lending, credit scoring, or financial-advisory services.
7. Data sale
Vcwallet does not intentionally sell user data to advertisers.
8. Security
Sensitive wallet information is protected locally using encryption, but no software system can be guaranteed completely secure. Users are responsible for protecting their devices, passwords, recovery phrases, and private keys.
9. Changes
This policy may be updated when Vcwallet functionality or third-party services change. The latest version will be published on this website.
10. Contact
Privacy and support inquiries should use the support contact listed on Vcwallet's official distribution page or Chrome Web Store listing.
